Grab their attention with a giant World Globe

New from Vivifeye

Inspired by the Apollo astronauts' original photographs of the whole Earth taken during their Moon voyages, our new World Globes offer the most visually authentic world replicas of Planet Earth available anywhere. Featuring the latest generation of NASA satellite imagery, looking at one of these globes is like observing our home planet from space.

Our new range of World Globes consists of large, individually produced, museum-quality replicas of Earth, in any size from 1 to 10 metres in diameter. They are ideal for permanent or semi-permanent installations or for short-term use at events such as conferences, exhibitions and parades.

These giant inflatable globes are digitally printed on strong woven polyester fabric laminated on both sides with PVC. Using super-wide digital inkjet printers, this fabric is printed with the NASA satellite Earth imagery. The imagery may be enhanced with NightGlow cities or internal illumination, as well as customised with geographic place names, customer logos, or graphic artwork. Rotating pedestal and suspension mounts are available for every size giant World Globe. All but the largest of our inflatable world globes may be packed into compact cases, making them easy to transport worldwide via road and air carriers.

Two Varieties of Giant World Globes

We offer two types of giant globes; sealed-air globes and cold-air. Each type has distinct advantages and environments within which they perform optimally.

The UK is pioneering the use of the technology in education, where Vivifeye offers highly attractive pricing for use in primary and secondary schools.

Sealed-air globes

Sealed-air globes have a printed and sewn external skin, with an inner airtight PVC bladder that seals the air inside. Smaller (up to 3-metre diameter) sealed-air globes work well for permanent indoor displays provided there is access to the inflation valve for occasional topping-off. Large (3+ metre diameter) sealed-air globes are suitable for short-term (several hours to several days), but not for permanent displays, as their greater internal volume is affected more by changes in temperature and barometric pressure. Sealed-air globes are perfect for parades, trade shows and other temporary exhibits. In general, sealed-air globes are more economic, less complex, and are easier to set up and take down.

Cold-air globes

Cold-air globes have a small, continuously running blower inside them. This blower keeps the globe precisely pressurised, despite changes in barometric pressure and temperature. Cold-air globes are perfect for outdoor installations or permanent indoor displays. Cold-air globes automatically regulate internal air pressure and have a visually cleaner appearance (the rotation, inflation and support mechanism are completely internal). Also, the cold-air configuration is required for any internally illuminated globe.
